ESSAY ON PROS AND CONS OF ONLINE STUDY(DISTANCE LEARNING)(250 words)

Introduction

Education is the most important aspect of a person's life. With each passing day, more schools are turning for online study, particularly as a result of COVID-19 lockout. It is gaining popularity as a result of its convenience and ease of use.

Advantages

There are various advantages of online learning. It's highly convenient because you and your teacher may communicate from the comfort of your own homes. You can also pose questions and voice concerns, just as you would in a classroom.

In the case of an emergency, the online study approach becomes even more crucial. The recent COVID 19 pandemic, from which the globe is still recovering, is a wonderful example of this. For the sake of student safety, several schools are now offering online programs. Online learning is a more safer option to traditional schooling.

Disadvantages

The online study approach has a number of advantages, but it also has a number of drawbacks. It lacks the fascinating atmosphere that may be found in a classroom. An online session frequently lacks the colorful and happy atmosphere of a classroom. Teachers and students only interact with one another on a one-on-one basis about subject areas.

Furthermore, excessive exposure to electronics has its own set of health risks, such as headaches, blurred vision, and a loss of attention, to name a few.

Conclusion

Despite its drawbacks, online learning has proven to be effective in certain circumstances. When it is not advisable or feasible to leave your home, online study becomes a good move.

ESSAY ON ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION(250 WORDS)

SAJEER(BA(Hons),HNDE,Ling.Qua.Dip(KSA),SLTS)

Introduction:

The environment is vital to human life because it provides us with the necessities of life, such as air, water, and food. There has been pollution as a result of global industrialization and modernization. Pollution has had a significant impact on the quality of life of animals, plants, and humans. Diseases that have evolved as a result of environmental contamination are examples of hazardous impacts. Environmental pollution is the contamination of the natural environment in both physical and biological systems, which interferes with the ecosystem's regular functioning.

Environmental Pollution Types and Causes:

Environmental contamination comes in a variety of forms, each with its own set of causes and components. Air pollution, noise pollution, soil pollution, and water pollution are the four types of environmental pollution that are classified based on the natural components. Pollutants are the pollutants that are found in the environment. Industries are the biggest polluters because they release toxic gases into the atmosphere, creating air pollution, and industrial effluents are released into water bodies, causing water pollution. Smoke from burning and greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide, are examples of other pollutants.

Pollution's Effects on the Environment:

In SriLanka, environmental pollution has been a problem. The negative consequences vary depending on the type of pollution, while some may be universal. Human health has been harmed as a result of air pollution, as has the ozone layer in the atmosphere. Water contamination has resulted in the extinction of aquatic life as well as acidification. Soil contamination has resulted in unhealthy soil, such as an imbalanced pH that inhibits plant growth. SriLanka has grappled with the effects of pollution on the environment.

Conclusion:

Pollution has become a major worry in the fight to safeguard our world. To reduce pollution, we must adapt a variety of measures. Planting trees, limiting the use of non-renewable resources, and efficient trash disposal are just a few of them. Every individual has a responsibility to protect our environment from pollution.

EXTRA POINTS ON THE TOPIC:

Air Pollution

Pollution of the air and the entire atmosphere occurs when the entire atmosphere is flooded with hazardous toxic gases generated as a result of economic and industrial operations. This results in contamination of the air.

Water Pollution

This is yet another big source of pollution that is extremely harmful to the environment. As we all know, natural water supplies are depleting at an alarming rate, making water a scarce resource. Unfortunately, even in these crucial times, contaminants from many sources (such as industrial waste, garbage disposal, and so on) are contaminating these remaining water sources, rendering them unfit for human consumption.

Garbage Pollution

When people do not follow correct garbage disposal procedures, waste accumulates. As a result, waste contamination occurs. The only way to solve this problem is to ensure that there is an appropriate trash disposal system in place that does not pollute the environment.

Noise pollution

The sound that comes from industry, planes, and other sources that exceeds permitted limits is one of the most common causes of noise pollution. High blood pressure, stress-related illnesses, hearing loss, and speech interference all have a direct link to noise and health.
