modernization. Pollution has had a significant impact on the quality of life of
animals, plants, and humans. Diseases that
have evolved as a result of environmental contamination are examples of
hazardous impacts. Environmental pollution is the contamination of the natural
environment in both physical and biological systems, which interferes with the
ecosystem's regular functioning.
Environmental
Pollution Types and Causes:
Environmental contamination comes in
a variety of forms, each with its own set of causes and components. Air
pollution, noise pollution, soil pollution, and water pollution are the four
types of environmental pollution that are classified based on the natural
components. Pollutants are the pollutants that are found in the environment.
Industries are the biggest polluters because they release toxic
gases into the atmosphere, creating air pollution, and industrial effluents are
released into water bodies, causing water pollution. Smoke from burning and
greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide, are examples of other
pollutants.

has been a problem. The negative consequences vary depending on the type of
pollution, while some may be universal. Human health has been harmed as a

as well as acidification. Soil contamination has resulted in unhealthy soil,
such as an imbalanced pH that inhibits plant growth. SriLanka has grappled with
the effects of pollution on the environment.

world. To reduce pollution, we must adapt a variety of measures. Planting
trees, limiting the use of non-renewable resources, and efficient trash
